Monday 14th May - Leave Whitehall 07.00hrs to travel to
Harrogate, with a short comfort stop on route. Whilst in Harrogate take
the chance to visit the Valley Gardens and admire the floral displays
around the town. From there continue northwards and arrive at the
hotel in good time for evening meal.
Tuesday 15th May - After a leisurely breakfast the driver will take you
into the city of Durham. Beginning the day with a visit to Crook Hall
and Gardens, which is a privately owned property just a short walk
from The Gates Shopping Centre. The 11 themed gardens all have
their own history and personality. Some are centuries old whilst others
are recent additions - gardens for everyone to enjoy. Once you have
completed your visit to Crook Hall you can stroll into Durham. Durham
Cathederal is a “must see” experience and the Victorian Market and
shopping streets are also worth a visit. Meet up with your coach for
the journey back to you hotel late afternoon.

Wednesday 16th May - Today you visit Raby Castle - one of
Englands Finest Medieval Castles. There will be a short guided tour
to familiarise you with the property and time at leisure. The castle
houses a fantastic art collection along with medieval, regency and
Victorian interiors in addition to the 18th century Walled Gardens and
Deer Park. Leaving Raby early afternoon for the short journey to
Egglestone Hall Gardens. Egglestone Hall is the family home of Sir
William and Lady Gray and was recently used as the location for
ITV’s Ladett to Lady programme! The Nursery Garden is separately
owned and positioned in a 4 acre walled garden with a cafeteria nearby.
Back to Redworth Hall for your evening meal.
Thursday 17th May - After breakfast the coach will travel south west
from your hotel and take you to Richmond, voted “Greatest Uk Town”
in 2009. Founded by the Normans in 1071 the town grew up around
the castle and there are many places of interest in the town all
surrounded by the most stunning scenery. You will visit Millgate House
Garden - a small enclosed town garden in a blissful secluded setting
in Richmond. You may also like to visit the Friary Tower and Gardens
whilst in Richmond. In the afternoon there will be a scenic drive around
Teesdale taking in the market town of Barnard Castle (Gateway to the
Pennines) and enjoying afternoon tea in Middleton in Teesdale before
travelling back to Newton Aycliffe once again.
Friday 18th May - Sadly today you travel home - but not before a visit
to Chatsworth House and Gardens. Leave early afternoon to arrive
back at Whitehall early evening.

Your hotel - Your main hotel is the 4* Maritime Hotel, a luxury hotel
overlooking the stunning scenery of Bantry Bay. Guests also have
complimentary use of the Maritime Spa with swimming pool, sauna,
jacuzzi and steam bath.
Sunday 17th June - Leave Whitehall Garden Centre at 06.00hrs to
travel to Fishguard, and the 14.30hrs crossing to Rosslare arriving in
Ireland at 18.00 Hours. The coach will then take us to our overnight
hotel, Dooleys in Waterford for Dinner, Bed and Breakfast.
Monday 18th June - Following breakfast travel via Dungarvan to
Lismore. Perched above the River Blackwater, Lismore Castle is
perhaps the most spectacular in Ireland and has been the Irish home
of the Duke of Devonshire since 1753. Whilst there you will visit the
gardens, set in 7 acres and divided into two: the Upper Garden a 17th
century walled garden which remains much as it was 400 years ago
and the Lower Garden, a more casual informal English garden in 19th
century style. The gardens frame spectacular views of the castle and
the surrounding countryside.
Continue to Midleton, home of the Old Midleton Distillery, part of the
vast Irish Distillers Group famous for Jamesons, Bushmills and
Tullamore Dew whiskey. After your visit to the museum and whiskey
tasting your journey continues to Bantry, your base for the next three
nights.
Tuesday 19th June - A full day excursion along the Ceara Peninsula
and following the shoreline of Bantry Bay to Glengariff. In the afternoon
you will take a short boat trip across to Garnish Island ( or Ilnacullen
to use the traditional name) and the Italianate Gardens which flourish
in the temperate climate. Set on a small island of 37 acres the
gardens are well known to horticulturalists and lovers of trees from all
over the world. Leaving there late afternoon for your return to the
Maritime Hotel for Dinner.
This is the largest working estate in the UK owned and financed by the
Staffordshire County Council.
Leaving Shugborough after lunch you should arrive back at Whitehall
late afternoon.
Wednesday 20th June - Another full day - today our destination is
Killarney along part of the route of the “Ring of Kerry”. Leaving Bantry
you travel over the Caha Mountains and through the Sheen Valley to
Kenmare then join the “Ring of Kerry” through Molls Gap to Ladies
View with fabulous views of Killarney Lakes. Once in Killarney take a
trip on the jaunting car rides from the centre of Killarney through the
National Park to Muckross House and Garden. Back in the town enjoy
the shops at your leisure and maybe visit St Mary’s Cathedral. The
return to Bantry takes you through the Loo Valley and Kenmare.
Dinner in your hotel.
Thursday 21st June - Today we leave Bantry and begin our journey
back across the country towards Wexford. On the way you will visit
Blarney Castle and have the chance to “Kiss the Blarney Stone” thus
gaining the gift of eloquence! From the top of the castle there are
wonderful views of the gardens and parkland. Remember to vist Blarney
Woollen Mills, close to the village green for the best range of genuine
Irish products. After lunch travel on to your overnight stop, the Maldron
Hotel in Wexford for Dinner, Bed and Breakfast.
Friday 11th June - Sadly today we journey home. Leaving our hotel
after an early breakfast for the ferry crossing leaving Rosslare at
09.00hrs and arriving in Fishgard at 12.30hrs. Travel back to Whitehall
arriving there early evening.

Friday 13th July - Leave Whitehall 06.00 hrs to travel to Dover and
the ferry crossing to Calais, arriving in France around midday. Travel
northwards through Belgium and into Holland. Arriving at you hotel for
dinner.
Saturday 14th May - Today your driver will take you to Venio, and
Floriade 2012. The main attractions are 40 hectares of the site which
are devoted to “The Greatest Flower Show on Earth”. This consists
of displays by over a hundred exhibitors showcasing the worlds most
stunning flowers, plants and trees. In addition Floriade features a
cultural programme of music, dance, literature, theatre and visual arts
from all over the world. After a memorable day you return to the hotel
for dinner.
Sunday 15th July - After breakfast this morning the coach will take you
to Het Loo Palace in Apeldoorn for a visit to the spectacular Palace
and its Gardens. The characteristic features of these 17th centry
gardens is the strict symmetry of the lay out. The garden is designed
to be viewed as a seasonally changing flower and plant display - the
flowers are planted individually rather than in groups so that each<
species can be fully appreciated.
Return to s’Hertogenbosch in the afternoon with time to visit St Jan
Catherdral or take a boat trip on the Binnandieze before dinner.
Monday 16th July - Sadly your journey home will begin after breakfast.
There will be a visit to the medieval City of Brugge where you can
enjoy the quaint cobbles streets, sample the Belgian Chocolates and
Beer or perhaps take a boat trip on the canal. In the afternoon continue
the journey to Calais and your late afternoon ferry crossing.
You should arrive back at Whitehall late evening.

Thursday 19th July - After breakfast today the coach will take you to
Tatton Park for the RHS Flower Show. Set in over 20 acres of
magnificent parkland, the 2012 show will again offer a wealth of
gardening opportunities for all visitors. After a full day you will return
to the comfort of your hotel for evening meal.
Friday 20th July - After a leisurely breakfast you make your way home
with a stop at Shugborough Estate on the journry. Shugborough is the
ancestral home of the Earls of Lichfield, the house is a fine Georgian
Mansion with magnificent views over riverside terraces. The latest
additions are the private apartments of Patrick Lichfield with many

Saturday 25th August - After breakfast today the coach will take you
to the ancient roman city of St Albans for a short guided tour, providing
local knowledge and an insight into its history. Later on in the morning
the driver will take you to Hatfield House, home to Lord and Lady
Salisbury, and one of the treasure houses of England. Enjoy the
scented garden, fountains and view the famous knot garden
adjoining the Tudor Palace where Elizabeth 1 spent much of her
childhood. In the park an oak tree marks the spot where she first
heard of her accession to the throne. After a pleasant afternoon, you
will return to the hotel for your evening meal.
Sunday 26th August - Today you visit Wrest Park, one of the most enchanting gardens in England. You will be one of the first to discover the magnificence of this “sleeping beauty”, largely unseen before now. Find out about its restoration and the breathtaking vistas and historic buildings which will surely ensure its place as one of Englands greatest gardens. Return to your hotel and relax before dinner. Monday 27th August - Sadly you must leave to return home today, but not without one last garden - Blenheim Palace Gardens in Oxfordshire. Monday 10th December - Leave Whitehall at 08.00 to begin the
journey to Norwich with a stop in Ely on route. Ely is home to one
of the most magnificent cathedrals in England. Make one of your
first stops the Tourist Information Centre, which is based in Oliver
Cromwells House, to make full use of your time here.
Arrive at the hotel in time to freshen up before Dinner at the
George Hotel.
Tuesday 11th December - After a leisurely breakfast the coach
will travel to Dereham, an ancient market town with a Tuesday
morning market. Here there are several coffee shops and
restaurants where you can pause before travelling on to
Thursford for the afternoon “Spectacular”. Before the show
there will be time to look around the various gift shops and
perhaps visit the “Winter Wonderland” (separate admission
charge).
After the show the coach will travel back to Swaffham and the
hotel for evening meal.
Wednesday 12th December - The coach will leave after breakfast
for the journey back to Wiltshire. Stopping en route in the
ancient city of St Albans. The cathedral here is the oldest
site of continuous Christian worship in Britain. It stands over
the place where Alban, the first martyr, was buried after giving
his life for his faith over 1700 years ago - more than 200 years
before St Augustine arrived in Canterbury. St Albans
Cathedral is famous for its welcoming atmosphere. Continuing
the journey westwards the coach will arrive back at Whitehall
early evening.

Friday 9th November - Leave Whitehall at 09.00 to begin the
journey to Portsmouth and your short ferry crossing to the Isle of
Wight. Once in Portsmouth you will have free time to have a browse
around and get some lunch. Perhaps take the opportunity to visit
the Spinnaker Tower or the Historic Dockyard. Leave Portsmouth
early afternoon and take the ferry across to Fishbourne, arriving at
the hotel in time for afternoon tea and mince pies in the lounge.
An evening of music, entertainment and dancing in the Starlite Room.
Saturday 10th November - ‘Christmas Day’ After a full English
breakfast in the restaurant be ready for the Shanklin Treasure Hunt.
Not too strenuous - just a gentle stroll to work up an appetite for
lunch. At 12.00 hours there will be Carols, entertainment and a
Wine Reception in the hotel foyer. Traditional Christmas Lunch will
be served in the restaurant at 13.00 hours ‘with all the trimmings’.
The afternoon is for relaxation - a look around the town, visit the
hotel swimming pool, spa and sauna or just enjoy the ambience of
your surroundings. In the evening your meal will be Chefs Buffet
served in the Starlite Room followed by the Christmas Night Dance.
Sunday 11th November - After breakfast today the coach will
take you to Havenstreet for a ride on the Isle of Wight Steam
Railway. As well as an hours ride in the beautifully restored
Victorian and Edwardian train carriages you will be served tea/
coffee or mulled wine with a mince pie on your return to the
station. You will then travel the short distance to Osbourne
House where you can get a snack in the Terrace Restaurant and
enjoy a stroll around the grounds.*
Back to the hotel by 16.00 hours for Afternoon Tea with
Festive Cake in the lounge, and be entertained with brain
teasers and quizzes.
Your farewell Candlelight Dinner will be served tonight in the
Starlite Room followed by an evening of entertainment, dancing
and the FANCY DRESS competition.
*Osbourne House itself is closed in November - occasionally
they will open for a guided tour and if this can be arranged at a
later date there will be an additional charge.
Monday 12th November - After a good breakfast in the hotel you
begin your return journey. Taking the ferry mid morning and
returning home with a stop for lunch and leisure time in
Chichester. Whilst in Chichester you could decide to visit the
Cathedral and the adjoining Bishops Palace Garden. This
magnificent Cathedral has stood at the centre of Chichester for
over 900 years. The stunning building has unique architecture
from each century of its life, and is both ancient and modern,
where original medieval features exist alongside world famous
20th century artworks.
