FOOD AND BEVERAGE RETAIL MANAGER – FULL TIME - PERMANENT

Are you an enthusiastic individual with proven Retail Leadership qualities? The position above is required to manage the Front of House in our Award Winning & very busy Main Restaurant, superb Lavender Lodge Tea Room and our Seasonal Ice Rink Cafe.
We are looking for someone with drive and enthusiasm to share their passion for the hospitality industry in delivering service with a smile. You will be trustworthy, motivated and have the desire to develop and sustain the highest levels of customer service. You will be working in a busy environment which requires being able to work well under pressure.
You will need to be fully flexible with working days which in order to ensure that the varying needs of our business are met.
Food and Beverage Retail Manager Key responsibilities:

  • To implement and achieve business targets and goals
  • Oversee and control, with the assistance of the Senior Assistants in each of the 3 divisions the smooth day to day operations of the food and beverage divisions located at the Lacock centre
  • Ensure all food and beverage divisions achieve their business goals and are working towards the Company’s mission, aims and objectives
  • Identify new, higher levels of retail standards to be implemented, whilst maintaining the standards already in place
  • Constantly monitor GP and sales performance of each division and take appropriate action, particularly in areas falling below expectations
  • Ensuring agreed budgets are achieved by managing the staffing rotas for each division.
  • Overseeing the Senior Assistants/Advisors delivering the Company’s policies in all food and beverage divisions
  • Divisions repairs are kept within budget
  • Brief Directors regularly on priorities for the food and beverage and constantly update 
  • Attend regular meetings as part of the Management teams
  • liaise and communicate with the Head Chef to ensure the needs of the business are achieved
  • liaise closely with the HR Manager to ensure all employee issues are communicated and action where appropriate
  • Hold regular team briefings to enhance communication and the exchange of ideas
  • Liaise and maintain good relations with existing and new suppliers
  • Create and maintain effective working relationships with other departmental Managers and teams
  • Performance manage those not achieving through the capability route
  • Liaise closely with the HR Manager to ensure the divisions can deliver their targets through the right training and recruitment
  • Liase closely with the Directors to ensure the right product lines, stock levels, promotions and target sales are achieved
  • Ensure the Company’s ‘service style’ is consistently achieved as a ‘way of working’ throughout the divisions
  • Follow Whitehall’s health, Safety and Hygiene Policies and contribute to raising the standards
  • Ensure that all Health, Safety and Hygiene documentation is completed correctly and stored safely
  • Ensure that any changes to health, safety and hygiene policies are implemented and the appropriate personnel are informed
  • Provide all staff with the appropriate training to ensure compliance with Health, Safety and Hygiene legislation and company policies
  • With the Directors and HR set standards of compliance for customer service and care
  • Create and maintain staff motivation to ensure an efficient and welcoming working environment
  • Follow the customer complaint procedure when dealing with complaints ensuring customer expectations are meet or exceed

You will be working in a busy environment which requires being able to work well under pressure.
We are looking for full flexibility (including working alternate weekends) in order to ensure that the varying needs of our business are met.
Restaurant Assistant Key responsibilities & Skills:

  • To work as part of the team to achieve the Company objectives.
  • Supporting and helping colleagues with their work and getting involved in day to day activities as and when required.
  • Showing a genuine interest in other people and willingness to help.
  • Using initiative at all times.
  • Displaying good listening skills.

FOOD HALL SALES ASSISTANT - FULL TIME

Are you a professional, enthusiastic individual with proven retail skills? The above position is required for our fantastic award winning Farm Shop.
The position will require you to be customer focused, friendly and approachable. Great communication skills and motivation are also required with the ability to work under pressure at all times. Your days of work will include working 4 days between Monday to Friday and alternate weekends.

Food Hall Sales Assistant Key responsibilities & Skills:

  • Showing a genuine interest in other people and willingness to help.
  • Using own initiative at all times.
  • Displaying good listening skills
  • Flexible approach to working hours whereby you may be requested to work various shifts in line with the needs of the business
  • Displays effective verbal communication skills
  • Previous retail experience is essential with food retail experience being an added advantage
  • Supporting and helping colleagues with their work and getting involved in day to day activities as and when required.
  • Helping in any area of the business when circumstances dictate
  • Maintaining high standards of quality control, hygiene, and health and safety.

Are you a professional, enthusiastic individual with proven retail skills? The above position is required for our fantastic lifestyle department.
The position will require you to be customer focused, friendly and approachable. Great communication skills and motivation are also required with the ability to work under pressure at all times.
Your days of work will mainly include Weekends and Bank Holidays.

Key responsibilities & Skills:

  • Advising customers choices on indoor & outdoor furniture, BBQs, Christmas decorations, indoor Christmas Trees and much more
  • Showing a genuine interest in other people and willingness to help
  • Using initiative at all times
  • Displaying good listening skills
  • Flexible approach to working hours whereby you may be requested to work various shifts in line with the needs of the business
  • Displays effective verbal communication skills
  • Previous retail experience is desirable
  • Supporting and helping colleagues with their work and getting involved in day to day activities as and when required
  • Helping in any area of the business when circumstances dictate
  • Maintaining high standards of quality control, hygiene, and health and safety
