MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT

The job holder will be responsible for all aspects of financial reporting of the company including the monthly management accounts and weekly sales reporting to a variety of stakeholders. A key element of the role will be to suggest, implement and maintain the highest standards across all aspects of stock control in the constant pursuit of best practice in the use of the EPOS system in a multi-site retail environment including a single warehouse.

The job holder will ensure that all financial and operational controls are both maintained and improved upon across all areas of the business and will be expected to lead the introduction of Perpetual Stocktaking into the business

It is an exciting time for the company as it looks to upgrade its EPOS system and it is expected that the role holder will assume responsibility for the EPOS system in conjunction with the Financial Controller/Director from the outset and shortly after assume line responsibility for all aspects of the Purchase Ledger, Payroll and Cash teams.

The use of IT is an important aspect in the role and the candidate will need to articulate their extremely high standard of Microsoft Excel expertise (SQL Server skills are also desirable as is a working knowledge of Sage 200) with a personality to challenge the business in its day to day operation adopting a collaborative approach in problem identification and resolution is also important.

GARDEN SUNDRIES SALES ASSISTANT - FULL TIME

Are you a professional, enthusiastic individual with proven retail skills?

The above position is required for our Garden Sundries Department until 10th June 2016.

The role will require you to be customer focused, friendly and approachable.

Your days of work will include working 4 days between Monday to Friday and alternate weekends.

Plant Sales Assistants - Weekends - Temporary

We are looking for Weekend Assistants to join us until July 2016. These position will require you to have excellent communication skills and great motivation. Previous retail experience will be an advantage. The role will involve heavy lifting as well as requiring you to work both in and outside. Holiday cover will also be required.

Assistant Chef

Lavender Lodge, a vintage style tearoom, serves homemade cakes, afternoon teas, light lunches, brunch and a new menu for 2016. The award winning Orangery Restaurant serves traditional cooked meals, homemade cakes and coffees.

We are looking for an Assistant Chef to work between Restaurants to follow instructions given by the Head Chefs. You will be working on all kitchen duties in an extremely busy environment. The successful applicant will have previous experience and training in the food industry. In addition they will play an integral role and have the ability to work independently as well as supporting our catering team whilst remaining calm under pressure. Shifts are varied so the availability to work alternate weekends, public holidays & some evening shifts is a must.

Ensure the highest possible standard of hygiene is practiced and maintained by the entire kitchen brigade to meet Health & Safety regulations and food preparation guidelines.

Key responsibilities & Skills:

• To follow all instructions given by the Head Chef

• Assists and participates in the preparation of a wide variety of foods

• Estimates food needs, reviews inventory to assure that adequate supplies are available, requisitions food and other supplies from stockroom.

• Receipt and storage of all provisions, fresh and frozen, in accordance with current food hygiene regulations including correct stock rotation and storage. Ensuring that all food is labelled clearly and correctly.

• Coordinates food service activities to have meals prepared at scheduled time.

• Participates in the cleaning of kitchen

• Packages and freezes food to comply with health regulations.

• Operates all food service equipment and machinery.
