Blueberries are regarded as a ‘super fruit’, owing to their extremely high levels of antioxidants.
Vaccinium corymbosum ‘Brigitta’ is a late season blueberry, bearing large, light blue fruits on sturdy upright bushes, from August. The berries are firm, making them ideal for freezing.
The plants can be grown in a vegetable patch, ornamental garden or even in pots. They are neat and compact, bearing pretty white flowers in spring, delicious fruit in summer and rich orange-red foliage in autumn.
