Blueberries are regarded as a ‘super fruit’, owing to their extremely high levels of antioxidants.
An early to mid cropping variety producing good crops in July and early August. Blueberry 'Duke' bears firm, medium sized, light blue berries with a sweet flavour. Upright bushes can become laden with up to 20 lbs of fruit when mature. The delicious fruits retain their freshness longer than most varieties too.
The plants can be grown in a vegetable patch, ornamental garden or even in pots. They are neat and compact, bearing pretty white flowers in spring, delicious fruit in summer and rich orange-red foliage in autumn.
