David Austin Desdemona Shrub Rose 6L

Named after the tragic heroine of Shakespeare's Othello, the Desdemona English Shrub Rose from David Austin Roses is delicate and flourishing. Its peachy pink buds open to beautiful, white, chalice-shaped blooms, with a pinkish hue. The incurved petals create an arresting interplay of light and shadow. The strong Old Rose fragrance has hints of almond blossom, cucumber and lemon zest. It forms a most attractive neat, rounded, bushy shrub.

Introduced in 2015, this rose is suitable for all soil types and prefers full sunlight. It is ideal for brightening up a mixed border or for celebrating in a rose border or hedge. Versatile, the shrub can also be enjoyed in pots and containers, or for cutting and enjoying in your home.

After approximately three years of annual pruning, the Desdemona will be about 110cm tall and 110cm wide, with a delicious strong, Old Rose scent and medium sized blooms. As a repeat flowerer, this bush will give you fragrant flushes of flowers from late spring to early winter.
