David Austin Gentle Hermione Shrub Rose 6L

The Gentle Hermione English Shrub Rose from David Austin Roses is delicate and thriving. The perfectly formed, shallow cups are pure light pink, paling to soft blush on the outer petals. There is a strong, warm myrrh fragrance. It forms an attractive, quite broad shrub, with slightly arching stems. The leaves are tinged red at first, later turning green. It is named for Hermione, the wife of King Leontes in Shakespeare's The Winter's Tale.

Introduced in 2005, this rose is suitable for all soil types and prefers full sunlight. It is ideal for brightening up a mixed border or wild areas. It is particularly good at attracting bees! Versatile, the shrub can also be enjoyed as cuttings in your home.

After approximately three years of annual pruning, the Gentle Hermione will be about 125cm tall and 140cm wide, with a delicious strong myrrh scent and large blooms. As a repeat flowerer, this bush will give you fragrant flushes of flowers from late spring to early winter.
