David Austin Port Sunlight Shrub Rose 6L

The Port Sunlight English Shrub Rose from David Austin Roses is big and beautiful. It has medium-large, flat, quartered rosettes of rich apricot, paling towards the edges. They have a lovely Tea fragrance. A vigorous, rather upright shrub; the foliage and young stems are a beautiful bronzy-red at first, becoming dark green over time. It is named after the lovely model village in the Wirral where there is a beautiful garden of English Roses.

Introduced in 2007, this rose is suitable for all soil types and thrives in partial or full sunlight. It is ideal for brightening up mixed borders or celebrating in rose hedges. Versatile, the shrub also does well as cuttings, for a more mobile splash of colour and scent.

After approximately three years of annual pruning, the Port Sunlight will be about 140cm tall and 140cm wide, with a delicious light fruity scent and large blooms. As a repeat flowerer, this bush will give you fragrant flushes of flowers from late spring to early winter.
