The Tottering-by-Gently English Shrub Rose from David Austin Roses is warm and bold. Its beauty is found in the simplicity of its single yellow flowers and the spectacular display they create when viewed en masse. They are held in large, open sprays on a rounded, branching shrub. It was named to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Annie Tempest's classic weekly cartoon, which was first published in Country Life magazine in January 1994.
Introduced in 2018, this rose is suitable for all soil types and thrives in partial or full sunlight. Particularly good at attracting bees, it is ideal for brightening up a mixed border or celebrating in rose hedges. It produces ample rose hips each year.
After approximately three years of annual pruning, the Tottering-by-Gently will be about 125cm tall and 125cm wide, with a delicious musk scent and medium blooms. As a repeat flowerer, this bush will give you fragrant flushes of flowers from late spring to early winter.
