This glossy evergreen's fresh spring growth is scarlet red and stays vibrant a little bit longer than other kinds. A stunning display is made by the way cream-colored spring blossoms stand out against the garish background of leaves. The leaf progressively turns bronze until turning dark green by late summer, like with all plants of its genus.
